The Secret of the Red Stones has been conceived as a journey into the Basque Country’s past through the history of Arrigorriaga, one of the oldest towns in Bizkaia.
Our guides on this journey will be a comic and an audio presentation, which will accompany us on this easy walk around the local landmarks. They complement one another. The adventure described in the comic provides an interesting account of the various points we have chosen to highlight (Basque mythology, Battle of Padura, Origins of the Basque language…). The audio presentation expands upon that information through a more formal approach.

If you want, and a guide will explain all the details about each one of these milestones. It should be noted that The Secret of the Red Stones does not set out to provide a history of Arrigorriaga or even of the Basque Country, but rather a snapshot of the history of its people’s beliefs.
Its ultimate aim is familiarise visitors with present-day Arrigorriaga and the Basque Country through its past, describing some of its historical events, its customs, its vital essence and, at the same time, be a modest reflection of all the towns and villages in the Land of the Basques - Euskal Herria
